LOCation
In the spirit of gratitude and reconciliation, Rosamunde gathers to play and listen to music on the ancestral lands of the Indigenous people of Manitoba: the Anishinaabe, Cree, Oji-Cree, Dakota, Dene, and on the National Homeland of the Red River Métis. We acknowledge that the treaties on which this land was built were not fully honoured. Rosamunde acknowledges and supports the Indigenous Rights enshrined in the constitution of Canada and we affirm the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples. We are mindful of the harms and mistakes of the past and we are committed to being part of the process of reconciliation through the gift of music.
Rosamunde 2024 is returning to Canadian Mennonite University’s beautiful campus, located in a quiet Winnipeg neighborhood adjacent to the Assiniboine Forest, boasting ample greenspace and numerous walking trails. CMU (500 Shaftesbury Blvd. Winnipeg, MB) is an ideal home for our camp, with its spacious and well-appointed music facilities.
