2018 Academy Schedule

Rosamunde Festival: Friday August 17th 7 p.m., Saturday August 18th, 7 p.m., August 19th at 2 p.m.

The Rosamunde Festival, now celebrating its 5th Anniversary, features our internationally-renowned faculty in three concerts of solo and chamber music repertoire. 

All concerts are free for Rosamunde participants and open to the public ($20 tickets available at the door for faculty concerts).

Rosamunde Summer Music Academy: August 15 to 24, 2018

  • Core and Teaching Fellowship Students (ages 10-25): August 15-24, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
    Student concerts held on Wednesday August 22 and Thursday August 23 at 4:30 p.m. and Friday August 24 in the afternoon. Individualized schedules including private lesson and accompaniment session times will be made available prior to the Academy.
  • Mini Rosie Full-day program: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. August 20-24
  • Mini Rosie Half-day program: 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. August 20-24
  • Rosamundiades! August 19-23, 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., August 24, 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. Schedules including optional core program classes will be made available prior to the Academy.
  • Baby Rosie: 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. August 15-17
  • Academy Student Concerts August 22 - 24

Accommodations and Food Services

Rosamunde welcomes students from outside of Winnipeg!

Accommodations for out-of-town participants will be available once again this year. Arrangements (billeting or on-site) can be made by contacting General Manager, Reid Harrison at rosamundegm@gmail.com or (204) 228-3431.

What to bring each day

  • Wire music stand
  • Metronome
  • All your music (including piano parts!)
  • A pencil
  • A bag lunch (lunch is also available for purchase)
  • Your favourite chair (young cellists only!)
  • End pin strap or other device (cellists & bass players only!)

Canadian Mennonite University

Rosamunde is held at Canadian Mennonite University. Its beautiful campus is located in a quiet Winnipeg neighborhood adjacent to the Assiniboine Forest, boasting ample green space and numerous walking trails. CMU is an ideal home for the camp, with spacious and well-appointed music facilities as well as dormitories and meal services for out-of-town students.
